Director of four monologues or Yellow Coat Theatre 'Pass It On' Event at Drayton Arms 11/12th March 2020

Amazing mother-daughter theatre company Yellow Coat Theatre trusted me with sole directorship of four monologues written and performed by womxn. Each writer, director and performer were paired up by the hardworking YC team and culminated in an amazing Sunday in Woolwich where I was directing for 10 hours solid. You don't do that if you don't love the form. And seeing all the other pieces over those two nights - to put it too simply, it was the most extraordinary experience both theatrically and personally and I was so lucky to have it.

Director, Writer, of my own piece, an extract from 'Deadline' Actor Awareness January Night 2020

Amazing theatre company Actor Awareness selected another 15 minutes of 'Deadline' to be performed at their annual Actor Awareness event. The opportunity required me to make a callout and take auditions for the first time, and I learned another valuable skill. The trio of actors cast were stupendous individually and together. It was well received online, this from Actor Awareness Producer: "An excellently written piece and a good dramatic arc, a well rounded short piece. I really love it."

Director, Writer, Producer of my own piece, an extract from 'Deadline', Vault Festival , 2018

Amazing theatre company Anonymous Is A Woman selected the first 15 minutes of 'Deadline' to be performed at the Vault Festival 50/50 event. The opportunity was afforded to companies but as I applied alone, I took on the trio of roles as writer, director and producer to book rehearsal, source props, as well as lead rehearsal and provide rewrites and insight. I was lucky enough to work with actors from other work I've shown and on projects I previously worked on - it was champagne casting all the way, and well received. It was a newfound joy to direct my own work for the first time.

Assistant Director on a R&D in Autumn 2017 at Wilton's Music Hall, 'Der Process'

A new option to learn so much with Baz Productions once again came about in 2017, and I was so lucky to be asked to assist again. Building on the BSL interpreted 'dreamplay' show we offered at the Vault Theatre a year earlier, the ADs of Baz decided to tell a story where a D/deaf performer was the lead, with an equal distribution of both D/deaf and hearing actors. A very interesting, intriguing and exciting week culminated in a successful sharing. In 2020, 'The Process' was the last full length production to be performed at the epic Bunker Theatre, and I took on a successful social media campaign on Baz's behalf to support it and see the project that started in 2017 come to full bloom.

Assistant Director on BA Acting course at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Summer 2017

Working with 'dreamplay' director once again on a  different project - the highly talented BA Acting class of 2017 were split into two, and my half took on 'Zero For The Young Dudes' by Allistair McDowall. It was a great experience working with a cast the number of which I'd never had before. I learned a lot of my craft abut directing and gained a new love for it, observing this amazing director work. I picked up a lot of my directing technique here.

Assistant Director on Baz Productions adaptation of Strindberg's play, 'dreamplay' 2015/HighTide Festival and 2016/The Vault Theatre

What started as support for the amazing Baz crew in their first foray into 'dreamplay' at the 2015 HighTide festival, turned into me finding my feet as an assistant director, in the most unusual of places: a lookout tower on the pebbled Aldeburgh beach. I was kindly asked again to reprise the role when 'dreamplay' came back better and more experimental than ever at the Vaults, where we played to our heart's content. This was the first golden opportunity I had to dip my to into Assistant Directing, on a piece like no other. I'm so grateful this was my first foray, as it taught me so much and allowed me to grow as an artist exponentially.
